How we prepare the quote
When you tell us about your case (phone, WhatsApp or video call), we assess three things: the type of procedure, the work involved (documents, evidence, appearances) and the urgency. You then receive a fixed quote in writing stating:
- The work covered (for example: preparation and attendance at a minor-offence hearing).
- What is not included (appeals, procurador, court fees, experts, notary), with an estimate.
- Payment terms: usually a retainer at the start and the balance at the end or in stages.
The quote is formalised in a signed engagement letter (hoja de encargo), as required by the rules of the Spanish legal profession. If unforeseen work arises during the case, we tell you first and quote it separately. Nothing is billed without your written agreement.

First conversation
The first call or message to understand your situation is free of charge. If a meeting with document review is then needed, we tell you beforehand; if you instruct us, the cost of that consultation is deducted from the quote.

Legal aid

Frequently asked questions
Why don’t you publish your fees?
Because two cases with the same name (drink-driving, divorce) can involve very different amounts of work. We prefer a firm, real price for your case within 24 hours over a generic price that does not hold.
If I win, does the other side pay my lawyer?
In many proceedings the losing party is ordered to pay costs (costas) according to the bar’s criteria, which may differ from the quote. We explain it case by case.
Can I pay in instalments?
For cases in stages, yes. We set it out in writing in the engagement letter.
Does the quote include the procurador?
Where a procurador is needed, the cost is shown separately in the quote so that you see everything before deciding.
